SCOPE OF ROLE

The Support Engineer will work as part of an agile team of devOps, testers and support personnel. You will be responsible of all client reported issues, investigate and solve potential bugs or escalate to dev teams for bug fixing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support to all clients helping them in day to day business
  • Reproduce potential bugs and escalate to dev teams
  • Gather information from logs and various monitoring tools that would help investigate problems
  • Work with the implemented ticketing system and assure that SLAs are not breached
  • Overview server monitoring tools, continuous integrating tests, custom GUIs – such as Jenkins, Opsview, etc
  • Compare information gathered from databases to the one logged by servers

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in CS, Engineering or Information Technology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English is essential
  • Must have good problem solving and multi-tasking / time management skills
  • Customer service orientated that can work under pressure
  • Solid console-level Linux expertise
  • Knowledge in querying databases with SQL language
  • Ruby, BASH or equivalent scripting language experience is a plus
  • Exposure to any of the following is an advantage: Java, OOP, JWS, Jenkins, OpsView, Jira, Desk
